Ahead of the demographic gap! Why companies should focus on international specialists now
For many companies, the shortage of skilled workers is no longer a distant future scenario. While baby boomers are retiring, fewer and fewer young skilled workers are coming into the workforce. The result: bottlenecks in many sectors, including the CCI sector. The targeted recruitment of international skilled workers can be a decisive building block in securing a skilled workforce, but many companies are asking themselves: How does this actually work?
On April 15, 2026, the Business Network for Skilled Immigration and Recognition, together with the UBAconnect project chambers in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, invites you to a practical webinar. Between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m., participants will receive helpful information and up-to-date insights into the successful recruitment of international skilled workers.
The focus is on questions that currently concern many companies: When should companies start recruiting internationally? Where can they find suitable skilled workers abroad? What legal framework conditions apply to the employment of skilled workers from third countries?
The free matching service UBAconnect will also be presented. The service brings companies with a need for skilled workers together with already partially recognized skilled workers from abroad for the purpose of adaptation training. UBAconnect is a service that we offer and implement in our chamber region together with the “Unternehmen Berufsanerkennung” project.
The webinar offers valuable guidance and specific recommendations for companies that want to actively address demographic change.
