The search for qualified personnel is currently a major challenge for many companies. On the other hand, people who have immigrated to our region, especially from Ukraine, are very interested in building a future here. Many of them have now reached a good level of German and are looking for career prospects.

With a joint event, we – the Biberach Job Center, the Ulm Employment Agency, the Ulm Chamber of Crafts, the Ulm Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Welcome Center Ulm / Upper Swabia – offered employers from various sectors the opportunity to get to know the potential of immigrants in the region.

As part of the job fair, the participating companies had the opportunity to make contact with the immigrants and present their job and training offers. There were also interpreters on site to support simple and successful communication.

 

Participation was free of charge for exhibitors and visitors.

 

The feedback from the participating internationals and company representatives was consistently positive. Thanks to the good organization and personal exchange, it was easy to get into conversation and attract potential specialists for the relevant vacancies. The format will be continued next year.
