The Corona pandemic turned the economy and companies upside down last year – innovations were not implemented, planning became difficult and the outlook unpredictable. The skills shortage was a major issue even before the Corona pandemic. While it was temporarily mitigated over the months of the lockdown, it was not completely eradicated. Nevertheless, some companies are desperately looking for qualified specialists. In the future, the shortage of skilled workers will again become clearly visible after a renewed economic upswing – and it is important to get ahead of it. But what can help?
International skilled workers as a building block for securing skilled workers
International specialists are a key element in securing skilled workers. They offer top qualifications and skills, diverse language skills and cultural diversity. But how can you find and retain highly qualified international staff?
In order to show you what options are available, what steps are involved and what needs to be taken into account, the Welcome Centers Ulm/Oberschwaben, Nordschwarzwald and Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg/Hochrhein-Bodensee want to organize a digital bar camp for exchange with entrepreneurs, HR managers, international professionals and many regional institutions that are entrusted with the topic of securing skilled labor.
This form of event offers you the opportunity to ‘join in’ on topics within a predefined framework, ask your questions, exchange experiences and tips, and thereby achieve more together.
What is a digital barcamp?
A barcamp is an event format that is also called an “un-conference” or “join-in conference” because the program and speakers are not fixed in advance. Everyone who wants to present or discuss a topic can do so in their own sessions or workshops. There are enough times and rooms for this, so that many program points can take place in parallel. At the beginning of the Barcamp there will be an introduction to the procedure, afterwards all interested people can present their own program points.
Suggestions for topics can already be submitted by email at email@example.com.
Barcamps are an innovative opportunity to exchange experiences, uncover potentials and receive new impulses.
There is also the possibility to bring in your own topic and discuss it with our experts and other entrepreneurs. Take advantage of this active exchange opportunity and get exactly the information you need to secure and expand your skilled workforce in the future!
You will find the session schedule here soon. You will also receive the link in your registration confirmation.
Note: The session plan is a google.docs document. You can find information on Google’s data protection here.
Company representatives from all sectors, human resources managers, international specialists and regional institutions involved in the topic of securing skilled labor.
